Transparent Town

Lyrics by Ric

Her emerald rosary beads are all worn down
Praying for truth in a transparent town
Bees are crying in her dreams at night
She rips the curtains away bringing in the light

Topaz beams of sun shine all around
Pulling at her hair falling to the ground
Not the way it was supposed to be
Pain transformed into insanity

She needs to make it to a happy place
To break the thoughts of sadness and disgrace

People moving on the streets below
Grew up in violence- it's all they know
She's trapped in this room while outside they crawl
God is seldom invited to this place

Broken and dismayed, whole kingdoms writhe
In the halls, the predatory stares
Angry voices and red yellow eyes
Of babies, now grown that were never loved
